at USA prices

i object to paying premium prices in australia for electronics- anything from ipods tech equipment etc.

Looking for likeminded individuals keen on bringing in products to market at US prices….

Ummm, ever heard of Ebay ? I get all my electronics from HK or Singapore, landed on my doorstep in 3-4 days, cheaper than buying locally, even with airmail included.

i am quite active on EBay but it has its own issues - reliability of source etc and, if something were to go wrong, you would need to send it back to where it was purchased presumably in asia for warranty service.

the premium we pay here is significantly more than the additional freight plus gst. where is it going?

you are actually wrong about ipods.

I looked at prices for the 80 gig ipod when in the states last year , and it turned out to be about $10 or 20 MORE to buy one in the states than here in australia .

REMEMBER that US prices DONT HAVE tax included in the price , that is added on at the check out.

so while at first glance some things look cheaper , they are not always.

Why not buy second hand? Try “Gumtree” if you don’t like ebay. There’s also the trading post.
